We went to a cave south of Lake Geneva near St. Maurice one weekend in late-August. GORGEOUS day...could not have been more beautiful. But, glad I had jackets or the girls would have been miserable...the cave was cool. The cave was called Grotte au Fees... en Anglais, that's Cave of the Fairies. So, where fairies are involved our girls are happy to be there. And to find out that the Fairies are really Barbie Dolls hidden throughout the cave...well, couldn't have any better news for them! Automatic success. So, we went on the walk thru the cave and found all 5 hidden "fairies". On our way back home, we rode around while they napped and made a detour to see one of the windmills on the highway between Lake Geneva and the St. Bernard Pass into Italy. I was impressed with their true size...it's obvious that they are big, but it wasn't obvious that they were that big until we got to it.

Preparing for the trip
A reaction to the talk about dragons being in the cave.
In the cave...
...it's dark...duh.
At the little restaurant outside the cave...
...couldn't take enough pictures of this face!
A view to the East from the restaurant...
A lizzard on the hike out.
a slug on the hike out.
Dave and his girls ...
Cambelle got brave and held the lizzard, too...
A close up of the slug.
A view at the entrance...me and the kids.
The top of the windmill... and...
...the bottom of the windmill.
