Another attempt to catch up...FINAL DAYS IN SWITZERLAND
Our final days in Switzerland... Our first meal 3 years earlier and final meal were the same...McD's (with Manuel, Valerie and Alexandra, who assisted us as we moved all our things to the train station). And, our trip home was made possible by the assistance of Katie and Tom and Laura. We made it home on December 13th, 2009... just a couple of months shy of 3 years. Hard to remember life before Switzerland ... thankful for the opportunity to live abroad, but especially thankful for the 2 kids that came during it... feel they were short changed a bit due to the stress and uncertainty of the move. Overall though, have to think we're all a bit stronger from it... and I always joke that they owe us a big thank you because they won't ever get to be the U.S. President.
The Swiss loved their flowers...and so did we.
Public transportation...buses and trains.
The Cormanon ... could walk to it for groceries (Migros), fountain, and doctor... the kids pediatrician's office was there...Dr. Gysler.
Our temporary home for 2 months... hard and simple and complicated all at the same time.
