September 2008 - Homesick and short on...

...some basic needs. If anyone out there has any plans to ever send a package our way, these two girls would LOVE it if you tossed in some grits, some plain 'ol Kraft Mac n Cheese or some of these disposable sippy cups that you see there. Not to beg, but just to beg a little...

September - Our First Vacation in Europe...Corsica

I'm brief on comments here cause I want to get this posted and Dave's about to drag us out and back up the Kaiseregg...again...I'll try to describe more later.

We went on a vacation...our first since moving here. We drove from Fribourg to Genova, Italy. Then we took a Ferry (more like a rough cruise ship with millions of cars, bikes, trucks, campers, boats...you name it) to Bastia, Corsica. Then we drove two hours to Porto Vecchio to a house that we rented for the week.

This is a picture of the drive from Switzerland to Italy...over the Grand Saint Bernard pass.



We spent one night in Genova before the ferry left the next morning. No, Kacey isn't excited...
Waiting to get on the ferry.... it had a playground and played Bugs Bunny movies...perfect!

August 2008 - Kids Playing and a Birthday

Cambelle turned 1. Poor baby...her birthday was surrounded by a horrific stomach virus, so the highlight was a cupcake that Katie and Tom brought over for her to eat. And she got some fun mail to open from Mema and Papa.




Dave and Kacey and Cambelle have taken a few afternoon bike rides when the weather would let them.


Opening a birthday present..."finally something for my birthday. Mom, Dad and Kacey finally stopped throwing up and gave me some attention for turning 1 year old! "
